4C Engineering Ltd. was established in 1998 by Sedat Kurtaran who has set the corporate mission as “4C Engineering Ltd. will take the lead in introducing Turkish Market the global Innovative Technologies like Rapid Prototyping, and 3 Dimensional Computer Aided Design at an intersectoral basis to support all Turkish producers in developing their own designs, in producing their own brands, and eventually in becoming major global market players”.
In 7 years, 4C Engineering Ltd. has achieved its mission in introducing, disseminating the know-how, and hence, supporting the wide use of Rapid Prototyping Technologies and 3D CAD in all industries. However, among others, Turkish Jewellery Industry has a more striking success story with the wide and competent use of Solidscape Rapid Prototyping Systems and JewelCAD Design Software. This competency in creating brand-new designs, developing numerous new products, and quality mass-production has yielded three major conclusions. First conclusion is that, Turkey has become the one of the three major producers of jewellery globally with the wide utilization of CAD and RP Technologies by the Turkish Jewellery Producers. Second conclusion is, Turkey has become the third biggest domestic market for jewellery products based on the versatility of jewellery designs, for better quality, and with lower prices as the result of an overall impact of 3D CAD expertise and RP Technologies introduced by 4C Engineering Ltd. Third and final conclusion is, Turkey has been a global major player in Jewellery exports since 2000. Recently, Turkey has climbed up to the first runner up position in its share in the global exports. In the next three years to come, Turkey is aiming to become the global leader in Jewellery exports.
Accordingly, 4C Engineering Ltd. has successfully managed to obtain the biggest share of the rapid prototyping market in Turkey.
